אָגַד

אָגַדII (√גד, v. נגד a. גדל), Hif. הֵגִיד to stretch, prolong, postpone. Erub.21b; Pes.87a (Ar. s. v. גד, v. however אָגַד I) שמֵגִידוֹתוכ׳ who postpone (reserve) sexual intimacy for their husbands. Y.Keth.V, 29d bot. אני מֵיגֶדֶתוכ׳ I will extend (spend all the time of) my widowhood in my husbands house.
